I’m drawn to anything iridescent, shiny or shimmery. So, it’s no surprise highlighter is one of my favourite beauty products. Back when highlighter was just called highlighter and strobing meant extremely bright flashing lights, I was still a fan. And although I’m an oily skin kinda gal, it hasn’t put me off adding yet more shine to my face in attempt to master a dewy glow. I prefer to keep my foundation matte, then add highlighter strategically – rather than going with my natural complexion and letting shine reign unchecked (come 3pm it’s no longer in my hands anyway; oily skin always gets its way in the end). I now absolutely love this highlighter. In fact, it would probably be one of my desert island products IT’S THAT GOOD. The powder is super fine and great quality. Plus, once it’s on, it doesn’t move about on the skin, it stays where it’s applied and has a really ethereal, glowy quality. There are four Hourglass Strobe Powders to choose from, each highlighter is named after a type of light effect including Brilliant Strobe Light, Euphoric Strobe Light, Incandescent Strobe Light and Iridescent Strobe Light. I’m going still deciding between Brilliant and Euphoric for my next purchase… [Read more…]
