One of the nicest things about Brighton is its eclectic mix of salons, shops and restaurants. There’s always something going on and last month, accessories boutique-come-beauty salon, Match Nails, threw open its doors to celebrate its extended treatments and introduce the new Match Skin Salon.
Along with some fellow blogger friends, I headed to Duke Street where Match Nails is located. Greeted with a glass of bubbly we found out more about what the boutique (known as Match Bags) had to offer. On the ground level we perused displays of beautiful Italian bags; butter-soft leather crafted into elegant clutches and nonchalant tote bags in burned orange and grass green. As we made our way upstairs to the first floor salon, I chatted to a beauty therapist who told me about the new treatments they were launching. It turns out CACI facials are now on the menu.
I’ve tried out a CACI treatment before and loved it so I was excited to see another salon introducing the treatment. Known as a ‘non-surgical face lift’, CACI uses micro currents to tone the skin and improve skin conditions such as acne. Painted a serene dove grey with accents of white, I could see how this room would make for a luxurious experience. The salon are also offering semi-permanent make up and IPL hair removal too.
On the second floor, there’s the nail salon. As a former beauty-journalist for a nails magazine, I felt like this was the cherry on top. They use OPI, a favourite of mine and have two massive pedicure thrones within the room. With a range of nail services on offer, including a deluxe manicure and pedicure, this is the perfect setting for some relaxation.
Back downstairs, the party was humming with chatter and excitement as I hurried back home to Leni, but I have a feeling I’ll be back at Match Nails very soon…
